Pederson Construction Inc. officially began in 2010, but the experience behind it goes back much further.
The company was founded with a simple goal: to build a construction business rooted in strong relationships, clear responsibility, and work done the right way.
There wasn’t a grand plan to “disrupt” the industry. Instead, the motivation was personal and practical. After years of working for other companies, Elliot Pederson wanted the freedom to build something of his own. He started with small projects, did them well, and those projects grew into larger, more complex residential renovations.
Today, Pederson Construction focuses on Bay Area home renovation and home remodeling throughout San Francisco and Marin. The company has grown steadily over the years, now operating with two skilled carpenter crews, dedicated office support, and long-standing trade partners. Many team members have been with the company for years, contributing to a sense of consistency that clients immediately notice.

About Elliot Pederson, Owner and Founder
Elliot Pederson, owner and founder of Pederson Construction Inc., brings 25 years of hands-on experience and nearly 20 years as a business owner to every project.
He began his career the traditional way—starting as a laborer, then moving through apprenticeship and journeyman roles before becoming a project superintendent.
In 2010, he started his own residential construction company, focused on long-term relationships and well-managed projects.
Elliot holds a BA in Urban Studies and has a background in city planning and sustainable development. While he’s always been fascinated by how cities function and how homes fit within them, he ultimately gravitated toward a more hands-on path—one where he could build, manage people, and solve real-world problems every day.
What truly differentiates Elliot from many other contractors is his approach to documentation and planning. He’s known for writing clear, thorough contracts and developing detailed scopes of work that leave little room for confusion. His bid spreadsheets break down project costs, helping homeowners understand exactly what they’re purchasing and why it costs what it does.
Clients regularly compliment Elliot on his ability to manage people, solve problems, and lead a strong project team. He’s honest, empathetic, and confident in his work—and brings a calm presence to projects that can otherwise feel overwhelming.
Outside of work, Elliot lives in the North Bay with his two kids and a cattle dog. In his free time, he plays guitar in a rock ’n’ roll band and bluegrass banjo, bringing the same focus and enjoyment to his hobbies that he does to his work.
