Mill Valley Hardscape

The owners at this Mill Valley residence wanted to turn their hillside into a field for playing games and add a design focused shed to their front entrance.
We cut back the hillside and removed roughly 80 yards of dirt to create a recess in the hill, and added retaining walls to hold the slope and built a platform to lay new turf. The Platform was built out of pressure treated lumber and then coated with as liquid applied membrane.
Steel posts were set at the outer edge of the structure to carry deadloads and offer lateral support. Base rock was brought in and athletic turf installed. A beautiful stainless steel railing and cable rail were installed. Now they have an attractive yard that can suit their needs.
